Me gustó: Pitch was a great size and fire pit provided, kiln fired logs available for purchase. Friendly staff and shop with necessities on site. Facilities basic as to be expected but do the job.

No me gustó: Showers are luke warm at best.
The rows of pitches are divided by high bushes, great for privacy but sad for blocking out the last of the evening sunshine.

The showers and toilets are all to temperature standard as they have to be suitable for young children as well as adults, The high bushes are to prevent the wind, if we didn't have any trees/bushes throughout the site it would be near enough impossible to be able to pitch a tent if the winds are up.

Me gustó: Friendly, helpful owners. Alpacas, donkey and horse, nice big pitches, clean and tidy toilets and showers

No me gustó: Noisy kids, fire pits no need! unisex toilets and showers, no grey water empty site

Our site is family friendly so kids playing is expected, all our showers and toilets are unisex this is stated before booking, If you had asked me regarding grey water i would have been able to assist you in emptying this, before booking it states that our pitches have fire pits on, I would personally suggest reading more about the site before booking if you are looking for an adults only site without fire pits.

Me gustó: Warm unisex toilet/shower block. Reception sold some bits and bobs like washing up liquid and wood which was really useful. Nice clean site with good sized pitches and hard standing for cars and the staff were really friendly.

No me gustó: The toilets would often run out of toilet paper, I think this is likely just because it was a bank holiday so extra busy and they were topped up daily.

Regarding the toilet roll, it is topped up several times a day, sometimes i am unable to get into toilets as they in use

Me gustó: Friendly staff, attention to detail, easy location for attractions, loved the firepit to save bringing your own

No me gustó: Newer Shower block could have done with a little table inside cubicle for bags etc.

Me gustó: Friendly and welcoming staff, clean facilities, set pitched. Kids loved the animals. Close to Drigg beach, good location to explore. Nearby seascales has lovely park area for kids and ice cream palor.

Me gustó: Lovely campsite, nice quiet location, site warden very knowledgeable of the area and helpful.
Good basic facilities.
Great beach at Seascale which is very close by.
I think the negative reviews are more of a reflection on the reviewer than the site themselves.
We would 100% return

Me gustó: Lovely place to stay. We stayed in our small campervan with an awning. Simple facilities, cleaned regularly and a quiet site.
My little boy loved seeing the cows in the morning when going to the toilet and petting the donkey at the entrance. The fridge freezer to use was very useful to keep our food fresh and refreeze out freezer blocks.
