Liked: Booked this as a spare of the moment trio. First camping trip with our kids. We travelled down from Leicester. Didn't know what to expect but the place is amazing. The kids loved seeing the animals.
The pitch was a really good size. Nice and peaceful. Showers and toilets were spotless. Also had access to a clean washing up area and a kettle and Toaster plus a microwave.
Will definitely be returning for a longer stay.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing

Liked: We loved everything about this site. What an amazing find ! From the size of the pitches, soft grass and hedgerows to the spotless kitchen, loos and showers.
The pitches are a great size and you can choose your pitch on arrival. We had pick of the pitches! Great to have the EHU available. The showers are great and you are able to adjust the temperature to suit your own preferences which is always a bonus!
Remember to bring some money if fresh farm eggs are you thing as there is a choice at the entrance of the site. We purchased some to take on our travels for brekkie and dinner!
There are lovely views from the site and it’s and a great base to explore the local area especially the mining history. We visited King Edward’s Mine Museum- check the opening times! This was enjoyable and informative with a great little cafe on site with lots of tempting unexpected choices - well worth a visit to both!
If you prefer to visit the local, the Countryman is a 5 min walk from the site. Warm and welcoming pub both customers and pub team. Very reasonable prices with an extensive food menu. The portions are large and the chip size massive - very chunky chips!!
Bowling Green Farm is now on our list to revisit!
We never used the WiFi so can’t comment on the speed etc. but if we were going to use it we would be mindful we were in a rural location!
Well worth staying to unwind recharge and chill or explore the area and don’t forget the spectacular sunsets and sunrises !

Liked: Absolutely the best location allowing you easy access to all the parts of Cornwall you want / need. The toilet and bathroom facilities were brilliant and always clean and the bonus of being able to buy fresh produce from the end of the site was fab and the kids loved it! We will be coming back it was that good!
Disliked: I loved this site... BUT our pitch was on the narrower end and because of how we have to pitch our awning, the entrance to the tent was right next to the access road - had we been on a pitch at the other end this would not have been an issue at all but there is a huge difference in size of EHU pitches
