添加您的业务详细信息Whether it’s walks over the Anglesey coast or eves watching the sun set over the fields from your awning, you should feel pretty well-refreshed after time spent at Gwlgri in Anglesey. Under two miles from the sea and half an hour’s walk from Porth Swtan beach, this adults-only caravan site is nicely positioned for accessing all manners of watersports, whether it’s sailing, swimming or fishing.
What sort of set-up are we talking, then? Well, it’s a small and low-key sort of place with a shower and loos, as well as a chemical disposal point (facilities are being upgraded soon). This place is in a really rather spectacular rural setting too, with sloping fields and sheep as the surroundings.
When tracking down the coast is your first priority, there are waymarked trails pointing you towards the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. There’s a gorgeous pub spot to stop and grab yourself a pint, some crisps or more substantial grub on the way – it’s around 20 minutes’ walk from the site, to be precise.
Otherwise, the sorts of places that you could find yourself after a short drive include Cemaes Bay (15 minutes’ drive), an adorable bay on Wales’ most northerly village with kayak hire, or Porth Dafarch (25 minutes), a sandy destination for all things scuba diving and canoeing. Food shops are around 15 minutes' drive out in Valley.
Please note that only caravans and motorhomes with self-contained loo and shower facilities are permitted due to limited on-site amenities.

You may be the type who likes your holidays full of waves and watersports or occupied with lapping up an ice cream on the shore. If so, there’s plenty of choice around there… perhaps wild and remote Traeth Ynys y Fydlyn (10 minutes’ drive), which has views out to the Skerries Lightouse and a few caves scattered around?
Maybe you rather like the sound of somewhere with plenty of rockpooling that can be accessed on foot. Porth Trwyn (50 minutes’ walk) is a fitting option for that. Holyhead (20 minutes’ drive) is further on and has more in the way of watersports and wildlife spotting boat tours, as well as a scenic stretch of coastal path.
Away from the sand, historic Anglesey sights include the Beaumaris Castle (40 minutes), a huge unfinished medieval castle, and Plas Newydd House and Gardens (35 minutes), a National Trust location. The latter has art murals, a military museum and historic rooms that include a music room, marquess’ study and saloon.
