喜欢: A lovely quiet and peaceful campsite. Virtually no noise whatsoever after 10pm. Perfect for families and people looking to relax and unwind. Facilities were all good and the fields are nice and clean with no sheep mess or anything. Friendly welcome and no trouble to amend the booking. Close to Bakewell and other nice day trip towns. Basic but clean, friendly and picturesque. Don't come here expecting to be able to play music over a campfire until 2am. But that suited us down to the ground.

喜欢: Cleanliness of site staff friendliness and the peaceful surroundings. Ten minutes drive from Bakewell lovely walks through countryside. Even if you’d like to just stay on site there plenty of room to do your own thing. Feel very comfortable to leave your tent if you go out knowing it is in good hands.

喜欢: This is a fabulous camp site, wasn't too busy, basic and clean facilities. Beautiful views. Little shop in reception, hot water for washing up is 20p and showers are £1, free drinking water readily available. Great location for walking the Lathkill Dale trail, shortcut to this through the camp site up the road, which also has a working farm with lots to see and a small shop selling ice-cream. There's also a Pizza outlet and burger van in the evenings until 8pm. Super friendly owner who let us park up for the next day so that we could walk the trail. Excellent value for money.

喜欢: Zero road noise, just the sound of birds and the occasional sheep in the distance.
Hot showers - machine takes 20p per minute or £1 coin for 5 minutes.
Hot water in the wash up - caution the machine here only takes 20p coins per minute.
Clean facilities.
不喜欢: Directions on arrival were to carry on to the end of the track and pitch where I liked. Wasn’t clear that there is another (better) field if you drive all the way to the top end of the first field. The first field you come to has a varying slope, I and a few others found flat enough space to pitch though so it wasn’t all bad. Go through to the 2nd field and it’s much flatter with better views. The first field is also closer to the DofE field so you are much more exposed to the noise from their games, however they respected the 10pm quiet time.
The two lights on the toilet porta cabins were so bright my tent was lit up even though I was 2/3 of the way down the field from them. Shame they didnt turn off so you could enjoy the dark skies.
Zero EE mobile service (not their fault), no WiFi.
