Liked: We stopped for two nights, the site was quiet and very clean, facilities were great (shower, kitchen, fridge, kettle). The alpaca’s were great, even more so when they escaped their pens Saturday morning (:
Disliked: Walking to places was hard, no paths just roads

Liked: From the moment we arrived at Egremont Pines camping and caravanning site we were made to feel very welcome and nothing during our stay was too much trouble. Karl and Sue the site managers were fantastic as was Deanna the owner who educated on us about all the animals which was really fascinating to learn.
We were travelling with our young son who absolutely loved the visiting the animals on site as well as taking part in the hedgehog hunts at dusk. There was plenty of space for him to play outside the tent and he loved the addition of been able to play in the treehouse. Even our daughter who is 15 years old had a great time and it felt safe enough to let her have time alone in the tent reading or watching tv while we entertained the little one outdoors on site away from our tent which isn’t always possible especially with big sites.
We hired out the BBQ Hut on our last night of holiday which was a fantastic facility and lovely way to end our summer holidays. Extremely reasonably priced which isn’t always the case with some campsites as well as being spotless and all the family really enjoyed it made our holiday end on a high!
The site was extremely spotless throughout these were some of the best WC and shower facilities we’ve seen. We absolutely loved been able to use the kettle and all the communal appliances that were available especially the fridge as this is something we don’t have yet in our camping set up it made cooking family meals at the tent so much easier and the kettle we loved at night for making hot chocolates.
There is even a communal space equipped with a kitchen including electric hobs and cooker, tv and dining table. They have thought of everything and I’m definitely sure we will be back in the near future.

Liked: We had a great time camping at Egremont and met some great people. Lovely quiet campsite with alpacas, goats & chickens on site. Karl & Sue were great hosts. They were very friendly and attentive. They did everything to make our stay even better, just one example, giving the children a celebration cake to share, which we then shared with other families also staying. Karl took the children on a hedgehog hunt each night which the kids really enjoyed!
Onsite is a reception, washing up area, toilet block & 3 showers, 1 men, 1 women & 1 unisex inside the reception. Although it seems like not enough it was plenty, we never waited to use one and the site was pretty busy some nights. Always clean and kept on top of!
Theres a tree house & bbq hut at the bottom of the site, the bbq hut is super cute! Although we couldn't book it as it was booked our entire stay, another family let us join them for some marshmallow roasting! Thanks guys!
There are free range eggs for sale for a donation at the entrance to the site (if the hens have laid any)
Thanks for a great last week of the summer holidays! We'll be back next year when it warms back up for defo! Big thanks Sue & Karl X

Liked: We had a fabulous time. We went as 3 families with tents all pitched next to each other. The kids ages ranged from 2 to 16. They loved it. We played cricket the kids played at the tree house. It was great no iPads just playing. We barbecued and played guessing games at night. Sunday was really windy but it didn't spoil the weekend. We would definitely go again.
Disliked: Didn't dislike anything.
