Set on the outskirts of rural Pinehurst deep in California backcountry, this is just the spot for some relaxed R&R, along with the chance for amazing stargazing, birdwatching, hiking and fishing – all directly from your peaceful and leafy pitch. With 10 acres of spectacular, unspoilt terrain for secluded pitches (all accessible on four wheels) tucked into woodland, the site is about 20 minutes’ drive from the North Entrance to Sequoia National Park. Pick your spot on a first-come, first-served basis for spectacular views down into the valley, especially on clear nights when the sunset goes psychedelic and the lights of Fresno glitter in the distance. Site amenities include a chill-out area and bathrooms with reliably hot showers and flushing toilets.
