For leisurely days out, the riding centre five minutes away in Lurisia has treks both short and long, and there’s good fishing for carp and trout 10 minutes away at Lago di Pianfei. Want to get the pulse going a bit faster? Head to Demonte, half an hour away, for rafting or scramble up the area’s highest peak Bisalta (actually a double-peaker with two tips at 2018 and 2231 metres).
Those in need of a little rest should make their way to the spas of Lurisia to soak in thermal waters; gentle wanders nearby might also take in the monastery of Certosa di Pesio (15 minutes’ drive) or Mirabello Castle (two minutes), or a trip to the historic centre of Cuneo (20 minutes away).
